Cheap Air Fare Tickets and How to Get Them

Most people don't travel by air very often, so when it comes to buying airline tickets, they usually go to a travel site, select the dates and destination and buy the first ticket that comes up.

Big mistake. That's exactly what the airlines want you to do, and it can cost you a lot of extra money. You may not realize it, but there are many factors that go into determining the price of the ticket you see when you shop online, and the "secrets" of how the pricing is determined is usually kept from the public.

It's cheaper to fly on some days than others, but the airlines will never tell you which day is the cheapest day to fly. They also won't tell you which day is the cheapest day to buy a ticket. They won't tell you that it might be a lot less expensive to fly out of a nearby airport instead of the one closest to your home. Or that you might save hundreds by slightly altering your destination.

They won't tell you any of those things, and neither will a travel agent. Why? Because it would cost them money. Did you know that if you log into a travel Website three times in a day you might see three different prices for the same flight? Or that your neighbor might be trying to go to the same place at the same time and see different prices from the ones shown to you?

You probably didn't know that.

So who does know the secret?  Travel agents know, but they won't tell.  But one guy, who used to work as a travel agent, does now and he's published the information.  He can tell you when to buy, when to fly, where to fly, and more.  I even learned about the "secret browser trick" that lets me adjust my Web browser in such a way that fools the airlines into showing me different fares than the ones they intended to show me.

It's possible to save hundreds of dollars on a single trip, especially if you're searching for cheap international flights, if you know how to shop for plane tickets.
